Heartfelt Productions

Emmy win

HP was founded in 2009 by veteran reality TV producers, documentary filmmakers and friends, Sarah Moshman and Dana Michelle Cook. By enlisting other talented women in the film & television industry, the two strive to help realize their vision of bringing positive content for women to screens all across America.

Heartfelt Productions has two short documentaries about female empowerment: Girls Rock! Chicago is about an all-girls rock camp that teaches young girls how to play guitar, bass and drums, to write their own songs and build self-esteem along the way. Growing up Strong: Girls on the Run shines a spotlight on Girls on the Run, a non-profit program that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. Both docs aired on WTTW in Chicago as well as film festivals around the country, and in November of 2013 Sarah and Dana won a Chicago/Midwest Emmy® Award in the Human Interest Category for Growing up Strong: Girls on the Run!

The Empowerment Project is Heartfelt Productions’ first documentary feature film, with the goal to inspire and empower women of all ages on a national level. With the help of their co-production team IndieFlix, the documentary is available for screenings beginning in April 2014. Sarah and Dana will be traveling with their film to continue this message of empowerment and facilitating conversations at schools and organizations all across the US to help women advance in the workplace and reach for their dreams in a real way.
